There are some weaker moments. The debate between Susan Lever and Ken Gelder over the latter’s new book, After the Celebration: Australian Fiction 1989–2007, reads more like a series of personal attacks than an exchange of ideas between two literary studies academics. For the most part, however, Overland 195 is nuanced.
